34 Tory MPs who have their dirty little fingers in OUR NHS
The same has been reported across a number of different formats of News. It’s the US model - the most expensive and least effective per $ spend of any healthcare system of and part of the civilised world. The World Health Organisation consistently rank U.S. health provision per $ amongst the very worst among wealthy nations comparing “efficiency, equity and outcomes." Despite being the world's most expensive health care system. The US is the only nation without universal health care. The Conservatives have Britain slavishly aiming to deliver a failed unregulated economic model.
The US system spends more per capita expenditure on health (USD PPP, has higher healthcare costs as a percent of GDP and spends a greater % of government revenue on health. Only the % of health costs paid by government is less.
What does that mean? 43 percent of low-income US families went without medical care because of costs. In the other countries, these rates ranged from 8 percent in Britain to 31 percent in Switzerland. “In comparison to adults in the other 10 countries, adults in the United States are sicker and more economically disadvantaged,” the WHO report reads.
Why follow in the footsteps of a failed system?
Outside of Parliament, insider dealing is illegal. But 24 Conservative MPs and peers supporting the Lansley and Hunt health reforms have links to 15 private companies who were issued NHS contracts since 2012. All were able to vote in the Health and Social Care Act, despite having a prejudicial interest, which would NOT have been allowed at local council level!!
