Police buy blankets out of their own money for homeless

British police have been getting a lot of bad press for the Tory media lately so this story makes all that Tory nastiness less important. 











Met police tweeted yesterday:



Officers from #Redbridge use their own money to buy blankets, gloves and hats to keep those sleeping on the streets warm during this bitter weather. With the help of a local supermarket they were also able to provide food and water.
